I was a crew member on the TAPA-30 during the Korean War from 1952 until honorably discharged in Feb, 1954. We had a large sick bay on main deck and my duty included the daily sick call (2 APC's) and X-ray Tech. We had one doctor, a Dentist, two dental techs, and two female nurses. We shuttled troops to and from the Aleution (sp) Islands, Alaska, and Hawaiian Islands. Never got fired upon, and duty was great.
