Electrician's Mate 3rd Class

His full name is Brown, Charles Marvin, and he was discharged as an Electrician's Mate 3rd Class. With his Navy-earned GED and training received in coal-fired boilers, he began his civilian career working in coal-fired steam generating stations. At the time of his death in 1973, he was the Operations Superintendent of the largest steam generating power facility east of the Mississippi, and still credited the Navy with providing him the training needed to succeed in his chosen career.
