Shepherdstown is the oldest town in West Virginia. Founded in 1762, the town is located in Jefferson County, West Virginia, on a bluff above the Potomac River. The town and it's surrounding area are rich in history. It is also a living, thriving community.
	It is home to a wide range of good people, people active in business, the arts, government and education. It is home to an excellent small college, Shepherd College. With a population of just over 2,000, Shepherdstown hosts nine communities of worship of which St. Agnes is one.
